Walking past the new building going up on the corner of Roma and George Streets, I took this picture of the crane so as to answer my daughter’s question from the other day.
“How do the men in the cranes get all the way up to their seats?”
Now, as you can plainly see from this shot, the men get up there using a ladder. That would be one long climb for most of the cranes around Brissie are huge.

Looking out the window of the train on my morning trip to work, you could be forgiven for thinking that it was warm outside. But it’s NOT !!!

It is hard to feel how cool it was this morning waiting at the bus stop just by looking at this picture. But this photo only serves to make it look warm I think. It was freezing. Today was the first jumper day of the year.

I came across this graffiti written in chalk on the footpath bordering the local park.
Usually I am against graffiti, but after walking past the first time, I walked back and took a picture of it, as I thought that this was a much better alternative than permanent destructive graffiti.
Even though, in this case, its just an outlet of purile adolescent drivel, I could see the legitimacy of this form of graffiti.
I have seen posts on
“Post It” note graffiti and reverse graffiti in this vein as well.
